At COMPAS, we take action to strengthen resilience and sustainability in the areas influenced by our port facilities.

The urban environments of the cities where our terminals are located largely reflect the typical vulnerabilities of coastal cities in relation to climate change, due to their geographical location. In this context, cities situated in insular or coastal zones must prioritize the risks and potential physical impacts associated with climate change.

For this reason, at COMPAS we take action to reinforce resilience and sustainability in the areas surrounding our port operations, by promoting the development of micro-enterprises and constructing green adaptations.

Under this pillar, we have been recognized for:

  • The Sustainable Agriculture Program in Bolívar and Sucre (2015)

  • The social approach taken during the port expansion in Tolú (2018–2019), awarded in 2020 for its positive impact on community relations.
